Mystic Lands straddles Swain and Macon Counties in Western North Carolina near tourist-friendly Bryson City. The city of Asheville is 80 miles east and Atlanta is 135 miles south. The region is known for the whitewater Nantahala River, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the Appalachian Trail, and the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway.

Mystic Lands is composed of three neighborhoods – Mystic River, Mystic Forest, and Mystic Ridge – on over 250 acres divided into only 135 lots. After the anguish of 9/11, Mystic Lands Owner Ami Shinitzky found the antidote to the madness of the world while traveling by motorcycle through Western North Carolina. Along the Nantahala River, through the National Forest and the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, he discovered the beauty of God's earth to be, quite simply, mystical; the simple joy of life. When he returned here to find a home, the concept for Mystic Lands was born: "a restorative green oasis at the epicenter of the jewel of Western North Carolina." What began as a dream for Ami is now a 250-acre, master-planned community offering an unparalleled selection of mountain and river homesites—and the chance to begin a new family legacy.
